Greg Totten is Vice President/Branch Manager of Heritage Bank in Ponte Vedra Beach. Although Greg is fairly new to the area and to the Chamber, he has enthusiastically embraced the organization since joining. Greg was born in Rahway, New Jersey and came to Florida to attend Miami’s St. Thomas University on a baseball scholarship. He graduated in 1980 with a B.A. in Management and began his career with Miami’s Federal Reserve Bank. Later, Greg went to work for Barnett Bank and after five years there, was hired by Miami’s Mellon Bank. There he spent 18 years serving in various capacities including Vice President/Branch Manager of their Aventura Branch. Early last spring, Greg moved to Ponte Vedra Beach to run Heritage's branch here. He and his wife Yolanda have three children. Jessica is a sophomore at Davidson College in North Carolina, Erica is a senior at Bolles and Charles is a freshman at Bishop Kenny High School. Heritage Bank - Ponte Vedra Beach
Vincent Grassia, Vice President
Vincent Grassia has spent the past 12 years with Journal Community Publishing and now serves as Group Publisher for all of the company's Florida properties including the Ponte Vedra Recorder. He grew up in central New Jersey and is a BA graduate of Rutgers University. Vincent is active in the Ponte Vedra Rotary Club, serves on the Board of Directors of Community Papers of Florida, is a former Board Member of the Florida Press Association and is the national chairman of the March of Dimes Committee for PaperChain. He lives with his wife Holly and their two sons in Ponta Vedra Beach The Ponte Vedra Recorder & The St. Johns Recorder
Felecia Cox, Treasurer
Felecia Cox is Vice President and Branch Manager of Florida Bank in Ponte Vedra Beach. She has been in banking for over 25 years and has worked in the Ponte Vedra market for over 14 years. A resident of Atlantic Beach, she is a Jacksonville native and graduated from Edward Waters College with a B.A. in Management. Felicia started her career at Barnett Bank while in high school. After 20 years with Barnett Bank/Bank of America, she moved to SunTrust Bank for seven years before coming to Florida Bank. Craig Hamilton, Secretary
Craig Hamilton and his wife Susan have owned Pineapple Post since 2001. Prior to owning the gift and stationery store, he worked for Merrill Lynch and various investment and financial service companies in Jacksonville. He has served on the Episcopal High School Alumni Board and as a Learn To Read tutor. Craig is a sixth generation Jacksonville native and has lived in Ponte Vedra Beach since 1986. He holds a degree in Business Administration from UNC – Chapel Hill. The Hamilton's son, Alex, is in the eight grade at Episcopal High School. Pineapple Post
Robin Giddens, Immediate Past President
Robin Giddens Sheppard is a third generation funeral director with Hardage-Giddens Funeral Homes in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach and Clay County. Robin spent 20 years with the Dept. of Health, Vital Statistics before returning to funeral service in 2004. She has varied civic experience beginning as an ex-officio member of the Bartram School Alumna Board when she served as President of the Alumna Assn. Robin has served on the Philbrick School of Funeral Service at Miami-Dade Community College and as member of the Supervisory Committee of the State Employees Credit Union then on its Board. She spent 11 years on the Medical Examiners Commission, Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement. Robin is a member of Christ Episcopal Church, The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach and serves as a Board member of the Florida Funeral Directors Assn. Darby Brower , Board Member
Darby Brower is the owner and principal of Brower Finacnicial Group. He was born in Jacksonville, but raised in Bucks County, PA. Darby spent a year in Sweden after high school as a Rotary exchange student then graduated from Washington & Lee University in 1985. After graduation, he joined NCNB and a promotion with the bank brought him back to Jacksonville. In 1991, Darby joined Lincoln Financial Advisors as a financial planner and benefits consultant. After twelve years with the firm, he merged his practice to form Montoya Brower and Associates. When that partnership ended, he opened his new business with his previous investment. Charles (Chuck) Bushong is a resident of Ponte Vedra as well as the owner of Bushong Insurance Associates, Inc. Chuck graduated from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) with a BS in Finance in 1974. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter as well as a Chartered Financial Consultant. Civic activities include Ponte Vedra Rotary - Sunset Chapter and the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center and the Friends of the Library. His wife, Melissa, is a native of Jacksonville. Phyllis Frankel, Board Member
Phyllis Frankel is the Broker-Owner of the Phyllis Frankel Realty Group in Ponte Vedra Beach. She has been in the real estate business here in Northeast Florida since 1979. Phyllis has watched Ponte Vedra Beach grow from a few gated golf communities into the wonderful neighborhood it is today. Phyllis' long career in real estate started with Watson Realty, then Walter-Williams (now Coldwell Banker), and then Re/Max before starting the Phyllis Frankel Realty Group Inc in Ponte Vedra Beach back in 1996. Joining Phyllis over the years in real estate has been her son & daughter-n-law Carey & Karrie Frankel with her other son Adam Frankel running his mortgage company, Capital Consultants Mortgage. Dr. Erika Hamer, Board Member
Dr. Erika Hamer owns and operates Ponte Vedra Wellness Center. She is nearly a Florida native having been born in Illinois then moved to Daytona at the age of 2. Erika attended the University of North Carolina where she established a Pre Med Club for students then finished her undergraduate degree at the University of Charleston. She quickly discovered her field was to be in chiropractic medicine and later graduated from Chiropractic School at Life University in Marietta, GA. Prior to opening her business, Erika worked at several clinics in North Florida. In 2006, she received her designation form the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology as a Diplomat of Chiropractic Neurology after three years of post graduate study. Dr. Hamer is active with the Rotary, BNI and her local professional society. This will be her first term on the Board. Ponte Vedra Wellness Center
Dale Haney, Board Member
Dale Haney is The Vice President, General Manager of Ponte Vedra Beach Resorts. A graduate of Florida State University, he began his career in 1978 as a Rooms Division Manager for the Sawgrass Resort and in 1980, became Hotel Manager for the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and served in that capacity for seven years. After a brief time as General Manager for the King and Prince Hotel in St. Simons, Georgia, Dale returned to the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in 1987 to assume his current position of Vice President and General Manager. He is a Certified Hotel Administrator by the American Hotel & Motel Association,. Dale has served as a Board Member for the Florida Hotel and Motel Association, is on the Resort Committee for the American Hotel & Motel Association and has been Vice Chairman of the Tourist Development Council of St. Johns County. Dan Monk, Board Member
Dan Monk is the General Manager of Pusser's Bar & Grille in Ponte Vedra Beach. He ran a successful restaurant in Annapolis, MD, before moving to Ponte Vedra Beach to oversee Pusser's, a restaurant that has quickly become one of the premier restaurants in the area. He also managed restaurants in Tampa, FL and has been in the restaurant business for over 20 years. Dan was born and raised in Annapolis, MD and relocated to Ponte Vedra Beach in September of 2007. Doug Smith, Board Member
Doug Smith Doug Smith received a BA. degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia and a Doctor of Law degree from Emory University. For 25 years, Doug practiced law in Atlanta and still maintains an active license with the State Bar of Georgia. In Florida, he is a Licensed Title Agent and a Real Estate Broker. Doug received an honorable discharge from the U. S. Navy Reserve as a Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG). Currently Doug is the Vice President of Gate Title Company, a subsidiary of Gate Petroleum.
